An advertisement for secondhand vinyls “2nd LIFE” - the development of idea “The idea of the ad was to give vinyl records a second life by purchasing them from other people. I took pictures of people holding records with artists’ faces on them (instead of their own), so the musician of the vinyl is like among us. It resembles the name of the advertisement - second life. When the vinyl is purchased it is born again for a new life in someone else’s home.”
Augustė is a freelance photographer, recent graduate of Applied Photography (BA) in Vilnius College of Design’s. Together with Titas and Neringa had a collective photography exhibition at Ideas Block (2017).
This work is a part of "Source - Process" exhibition. The exhibition is about the bursts of the artists’ spirit, and creativity. It is a show about the creative mind at work. Artists, who became part of Ideas Block during this first year, will showcase their ideas-development process through the fragments of notes, sketches, unfinished works and ideas, taken from their notebooks, papers, camera films, or elsewhere. Abstract, unfinished ideas, realisations, shapeless stimuli, coming in and out of context. A peek into the artist's inner source and intent.
